You sound like some girl who got angry with her boyfriend because he didn't reply to one of your 4294967296 SMS messages, and you think that he is ignoring you for another girl. Dude, you're a guy with a stick between your legs - don't be such a wuss by posting something so trivial on Aunt Agony.
There could be so many reasons why he ignored some of your messages, maybe he happened to be focusing on his game when you wrote the messages, or that there were a lot of people spamming the message board in the area his game character is located in. Why not just ask him straight whether he saw your messages instead of whining about it here? Can you imagine, friends of three years, getting into a quarrel just because one of them did not reply to a few messages the other posted in an online game?

Yea, I handled some of those take-all-you-can clients before who tried to maximize what little budget they had on hand - I dropped them like hot potatoes as soon as I'm done with their first project and went on to look for other clients.

Nah, if it's something cumbersome, it's not small enough. Take a look at this umbrella:

Well you know economic crisis and all, so everyone is thinking of cutting cost (citibank workers got retrench, DBS workers got retrench....etc etc), So boss being alittle on the kiasu side, (though company is still making really nice profits at the moment), told me to research into alternatives to cut cost from our existing operating structure as well. So apparently hosting cost came up as one of the ways that we can look into for cutting cost as well.
Of course there are other means for cutting cost too, some of them are listed below
- Retrench unproductive workers - like what is going on in the
market now (pretty scary better not look in that
direction)
- Look for process innovation
- Reduce expenditure on marketing
- Look for cheaper suppliers - that is how this whole thing with
cmsforever.com
came about, also thinking of switching to a new stationary supplier
www.yunnan.com.sg maybe switching our printing
suppliers. Haven't thought of a good one though.
By the way any of you got any good ideas for cutting operating cost to recommend? Like cheap suppliers for example?
Yeah, anyone out there got retrenched lately by the way? Is it hard looking for jobs now? Asking around just in case my boss gets any bright ideas. :P
You should probably post this as a separate thread on Chit Chat or some other general forums to elicit more responses for such questions. Besides, if he's asking you to do all the thinking, you might as well become his boss instead.
I don't know how much is your company currently paying for web hosting, but a good one out there would only cost you $100 per year or so. I don't see why a company isn't able to allocate that amount to it if they're serious about having an online presence.

Yea, just like I always tell myself, "School starts at 9. If I don't start preparing by 7.30, I'll be late." Then when it's 7.30, I will tell myself a new story "I can definitely prepare for school faster this time round. Make it 8." And when it's 8, I will say "Oh heck, I'll skip a meal and take a cab today. 8.30! 8.30!". And yes, by 9, I would have reached - the main street outside my house frantically flagging for a cab.

Just get a mini-umbrella and a mini-jacket or something that won't make your bag feel significantly heavier. I tend to forget bringing my thumbdrive with me whenever it is needed, until I got a thumbdrive as small as a fingernail which fits in my wallet - something which I would definitely carry along when I'm outside.

I have a WebH0stingBuzz account currently not in use ever since they suspended my account for excessive CPU usage. After I have sent in a request for unsuspension and it was approved, I decided to move the files out to another server due to their restrictive AUP and T&C. If anyone, regardless of whether you're a 10-year old kid writing your first line of code or a middle-aged man whose nasal hair is long enough to pass through your mouth and appear at your ass, then retracted back to your mouth, is interested in having a FTP account, and is able to keep to their policies, drop me a PM and I'll set one up for you.
And here I disclaim: I'm not responsible for any loss of data or any form of damage during your usage of the FTP account provided. If one of their staff got drunk on a Saturday night and clicks on the Close Account button for my account by accident, I'm not going to care about that as well. In essence, use it at your own risk.

In XP, it would most likely be found in the TEMP folder. Not sure it's the same for Vista, but you may want to give it a try anyway.
Press Windows+R, enter %TEMP%. It should display the TEMP folder for your Windows username. Conduct a file search in there for your documents. If there's an option for "word processing, spreadsheet", check it to narrow down the search.

Just do a search on the local eBay site or pay a visit to Sim Lim Square. There's so many places selling them that you make wonder how you spend months looking for one.

Hmm...it's still kinda vague here. Do you receive any error codes when you try to login with the servers? Did the game application even run? And I just want to confirm that you have switched off the firewall on your router - did you? (Do note that it's good security practice to have your router firewall up - you may want to re-enable and configure it once we got this issue settled.)

Any particular event that occured before you were not able to connect to the game servers? Or were you unable to connect to the servers right from the start?
So, you have disabled all the firewalls including Windows Firewall, any third-party software firewall installed on your system as well as the firewall on your router (if you're using one)?

It's commonly associated with old drivers on your system. Try updating your graphics, audio and other essential drivers on your computer. If you need help in locating the file sources for updated drivers, you can either Google your motherboard and graphics card model numbers, or post them here if you're really at your wits' end.
